Trailerkomponenter AB (TRAKO) started in 1974 in Mjölby. Our strength is to develop type-approved and customized solutions in the heavy transport industry with a focus on drawbars and gear locks for all trailer brands on the European market. Our products are mainly used in the forestry and mining industries, as well as in road and long-distance transportation. With more than 40 years of experience in the industry, you can be sure that we will provide quality and flexible solutions tailored to your needs.
Production and warehouse in Mjölby
Our business is located in Hulje industrial area in Mjölby, where we have over 2000 m² of warehouse and manufacturing space. Here we manufacture drawbars and gear locks of various models.
Service and spare parts for drawbars
In addition to our wide range of drawbars, we have a wide range of accessories and spare parts. Through our large contact network, we can also offer fast deliveries and service.

1974
Karl Åke Karlsson founds Trailerkomponenter AB, business is since the start in Mjölby 1974, located in Hulje industrial area.
2003
TMT Malinen acquires Trailerkomponenter AB.
2018
Trako gets a new owner, Axel Johnson International, a Swedish family-owned industrial group with more than 90 companies in 25 countries.
Bruno Wiik takes over as new CEO.
2019
Production is modernized to meet future market demands, Trako invests in new welding cells, thereby increasing productivity and improving ergonomics for employees.
2020
40 years from the start, we design and manufacture the various models of TRAKO drawbars, gear locks and other accessories in large modern industrial premises, where we also keep stocks for fast delivery. We have grown, but our core business remains the same - we are drawbar experts.
